Riverside Boulevard Penthouse

Location

Upper West Side, Manhattan, NY

Description

Constructed in 1999 by renowned architect Konstance Kondylis, this elegant cooperative boasts an impressive 377 apartments, including eight penthouses. Upon initial consultation with the client, NV Design recognized the pressing need to revisit the floor plan, as the front door was inconveniently placed to open directly into the private bedroom spaces. The solution was to relocate the front door, a feat that was achieved through the careful cutting of the 18" concrete sheer wall. The newly established entry hall showcases breathtaking views of the Hudson River, effectively separating the private and entertaining spaces.

Additionally, the penthouse now boasts an expansive 1,000-bottle temperature-controlled wine room, a navy lacquered library complete with wet bar, and three impeccably renovated bathrooms. Notable features include a custom-designed kitchen with bespoke cabinetry, entry hall paneling, and exquisite herringbone wood floors throughout, all of which contribute to the space's optimal functionality and sophisticated aesthetic.
