NV Design is a New York City-based interior and architectural design studio that has been transforming exceptional residences since 2013. Known for seamlessly blending luxury design with architectural precision and ease of process, NV Design has earned a reputation as a trusted partner for New York families and interior designers alike.

With experience working on projects of all sizes, NV Design can tackle anything from redesigning a single room to creating an entirely new penthouse floor plan. NV Design oversees each project from conception to demolition to the last finishing touch, bringing excellence in spatial planning and a unique ability to reconcile aesthetics for a finished project that feels like home.

In addition to bespoke architectural design services, NV Design partners with leading interior designers to provide drafting services, including plans, elevations, section details and can coordinate and oversee construction and create custom furniture, cabinetry and millwork.

Nik Vekic is Principal and Founder of NV Design

Principal and founder Nik Vekic is a Parsons-trained architectural designer with extensive experience working with leading New York City-based architecture and interior design firms. Nik launched his own firm, NV Design, in 2013.

Nik's work is influenced by the timeless beauty and classical architecture of Robert Stern, and the luxurious whimsy of McAlpine Partners’ homes. His designs reflect his keen interest in solving the unique challenges of New York City spaces and the specific visions and desires of each of his clients.

A first generation Canadian of Serbian descent, Nik grew up in and around Toronto, Ontario. Nik's passion for residential design started at a young age when he was captivated by the popular television show "This Old House" with Bob Vila. Inspired by Vila's ability to understand the inner workings of a building and imagine what would be best for the homeowners, Nik pursued architectural and environmental design at Parsons School of Design, from which he graduated in 2004.

Nik and his husband split their time between New York City and the Catskill Mountains, where they purchased their first property in 2016. Together, they founded ICDT Studio in 2019, which specializes in renovations and ground-up construction of extraordinary country homes that pair timeless bucolic styling with modern luxury conveniences.
