Constructed in 1950, this cooperative consisting of 87 units boasts an enviable location directly across from the Central Park reservoir and just one block south of the Guggenheim Museum. A bustling family of five approached NV Design with two goals: enhancing their storage options and improve their kitchen's functionality. The result was a multi-room gut renovation and redesign. Notably, a large built-in unit was created within the dining room to house excess kitchen items. To accommodate the client's passion for tropical fish, a mammoth 1,000-gallon tank was seamlessly integrated into the kitchen's cabinetry. In the den, NV Design crafted a clever double-layered bookcase that rolls aside to reveal additional bookcases, as well as a concealed television. The family’s youngest was treated to a special bedroom makeover, to usher in his teenage years. To fulfill this need, an office and gym were transformed into a vibrant new space, featuring a built-in desk carefully designed to showcase the young sports enthusiast's most treasured memorabilia.
